Contribute Feedback What Luz Marina Castiblanco doesn't like about Red Hawk Diner:
The place is nice, it is confusing to understand how to order with GrubHub. The food is normal. The people is friendly and the wait time is like 20 min when an order made. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp View all feedback.
I walked here all the way from CALDWELL NEW JERSEY to eat here with my friends. The walk went through the woods and several different valleys. We were forced to walk on roads with no sidewalks for several miles The walk was over six miles long to get here. On google maps it said it was open until 1AM. But to our surprise and dismay, the diner was closed and we were left stranded and very hungry after we walked so far for NOTHING. We also got into many confrontations with drunk people driving by us and using my many forms of profanity against us. It was a major disappointment to walk over six miles and get NO FOOD. You should consider yourself LUCKY that this review is three stars.
They were out of almost everything, including their minds on a Saturday evening. Why would you be dumping the coffee canisters hours before closing? Two of the staff were completely useless. Only one server was helpful- yeah idk why me alone needed 3 servers... Something was way off.I thought MSU had a strong business management program. Maybe get an MBA student to intern there and turn things around.
This place is awesome: the staff and food is great it takes awhile sometimes for food but overall it's worth it
For many years, this was my go to place on Montclair State's campus. It was always crowded and jumping, even on weekends. The exo structure is still there, but the atmosphere is just gone. I came at lunchtime on a recent Saturday to find the place completely devoid of customers AT NOON. It was never that way. Another disturbing thing I noticed was the non-existence of menus. That set off alarm bells. And the other huge down point for me was that day THEY WERE NOT TAKING CASH! I can understand perhaps there being a minimum amount that you can use a credit/debit card for, but no cash for what turned out to be a less than five dollars order? Are people that fiscally unintelligent or just plain lazy, that they can't handle less than $20 on a purchase? That is one sad state. And no eatery should institute a no cash policy. Learn how to handle money, please. At least the manager was understanding and accommodating, and I left with satisfaction for the quality of my take out, but regrettable dissatisfaction over what a sad shadow of its former self this place has become. Parking: Parking lot on side is only a couple spots. Large parking garage is located about 750 feet away, but you have to either walk a very circuitous route around, or climb the equivalent of five flights of stairs. Not for the faint of heart, or anyone with bad knees.
Waited for 45 minutes for tasteless burger, paid 17$.They are prioritizing Uber orders, paying zero attention to visiting customers.Never going back again.
