Good quality food and service, we went there 2 days in a row with our family. Big restaurant with outdoor patio and vast interior. Large space for groups. Their menu offers large variety of offerings. I recommend them! View all feedback.
What Émilie Jacques doesn't like about Relais D'alsace:
This restaurant is very well situated right off the "Route de Paris" leaving Montauban. The interior is very well done and the windows are huge which lets in a lot of sunlight. The food is typical of the Alsace. Nicely done, but not exciting a all. Hefty portions though. Service & décor adequate
This restaurant is very well situated right off the "Route de Paris" leaving Montauban. The interior is very well done and the windows are huge which lets in a lot of sunlight. The staff is one of the friendliest I've ever seen. Unfortunately all of these pluses aren't followed up. The restaurant was clearly understaffed and at dinner time, that means long waits. (Once again the staff was working very hard to avoid these waits) The sour kraut itself was good. The beer list was surprisingly short and we had to wait 30 minutes to order and get served desert. One main suggestion is to stay away from the fish! We found that the price was high.. maybe it was because we went on a weekend?
I have been here lots of times. Don't expect fine dining it's in an industrial zone across from Brico Mat! Take a leaf from the locals take the two course special at a tenner and a half decent large glass of super plonk and get the best from this kitch Alsace oddity. Michael Paul
