Very friendly hosts and a popular watering hole for both French and English, particularly on Friday market. The service can be slow when full, but so is the pace of life down here in SW France. Good beer and local wine at reasonable prices. Well worth a visit for a coffee or apero. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Le Monseg':
Located on the square in Monsegur we only visited for a few beers, not to stay. They offered Leffe and Stella on tap and a selection of bottled beers and ciders.Staff were friendly and helpful and the outside seating is always pleasant.Toilet looks like something from trainspotting. I don't think Monseg serves on-site food. Friday night the fish and chip van sits outside and is very good. Saturday night Raphael is there with her pizza truck on the other side of the square with the best pizza in this... area. The market day is to munch on Friday, so many food sandwiches with beer or wine or mixed drinks. This bar has a fantastic atmosphere. The decor inside is fascinating. A great sports bar for football and rugby. You can sit inside or outside the weather depending on. How Herb Caen said you reached a certain age and wondering where you're going? And if you're here, the bars will be open? There are three bars in Monsegur hopefully you will be open. The service is very polite French. Pay drinks in the round. Good value and a good place.
And the fourth was closed. Good for a few beers and watch the world go over his business. Very friendly crowd and the service was good. Recommended!
Authentic next to the market French Bar. Get your Pastis 51 (cinquante et un) here and his French Alors!
Popped in for coffee with some family whilst exploring the market. Wasn't anything remarkable, service was quite abrupt.
