Was Selen Caner Ertuncay at Osmiza Gomizelj Damijana a mag?
We went to this osmiza on a Sunday evening and it was clear that the whole day had been a struggle for them with too many people and increasing demands, however they were still extremely kind and humble till the end. Then when the first tray arrived, it was clear why people were so eager to eat here. Everything is delicious, and the prices are good in my experience. What Davide Cossutta dislikes about Osmiza Gomizelj Damijana:
Non-existent service and very long waits. We arrived and waited in line for half an hour to order and the order arrived after 1 hour. An hour for a plate of cured meats. I asked for a mixed plate and the hand-cut cooked ham was not brought to me. I asked for gherkins and olives and they were not brought to me. This is essentially a local farmer's snack place which sells wine. There are clean tables and benches, an area to sit outside when its warm and that's about it. But it is part of the cultural heritage of the area and a european heritage site. We had a excellent plate of local meat, prosciutto. a bit of local cheese and bread together with the excellent local wine. If you want gourmet food this is not the place. If you want to experience excellent local products in a very relaxed surrounding then this is fine.

We asked for a plate of cooked ham because one of us was pregnant and preferred to avoid raw foods and we waited another hour only to be told that only the bone was left and they had finished it. Nice location but terrible management and very expensive prices. 135 euros for two very basic mixed dishes, 2 liters of wine, 9 eggs and 8 millefeuille. Totally avoid, we will never return.

Unfortunately they were out of desserts, but I am sure we would get another chance sometime in the future. There are long tables for groups and a huge garden with some entertaining geese at the back.
Place was really nice. Rural, quiet and relaxing. The service was a bit too slow since we are speaking only of cold cuts and bevarage.
Small portions and overpriced, staff not very friendly. Didn't serve us with what we ordered, dirty restrooms.
