It's sorta dingy looking with really old decor, and it took us an hour to get our food even though the restaurant had only two other tables with guests besides our 2 person party. What Thaddeus Lindsay doesn't like about Joe's French Italian Inn:
Not bad by any means... But terribly overpriced for quality and portion size. It felt very old fashioned but not exactly in a good way. Just overall didn't live up to the hype... Especially for the price of things. I can get a way better, more inspired meal for $30 a plate elsewhere. Also, what exactly is French about this place? View all feedback.

HOWEVER, the food was absolutely delicious! I had the veal marsala, my companion had the chicken marsala. We also asked about deep fried mushrooms, and they don't have them anymore. Waitress said the menu changes frequently because everything, and she stressed the word everything, is made fresh. She said she'd ask the cook to make us some fried mushrooms freshly sliced and handbreaded. He did and they were scrumptious. The veal marsala was the best I've ever had. Portions were very generous.
Continuance of past elegance. Great staff. Best real yellow belly perch not the Canadian, large European river perch (cut into small pieces to look like real yellow bellies) which are captive raised in lake Erie waters (hence legally billed as lake Erie perch). Steaks are great. Just love going there.
I used to take my 4 kids there on payday and talk about eating! They Ate so much and took home ? tons of leftovers . Joe was so good to us! They always gave us everything on the house ?

Absolutely LOVE this place! Fantastic Food, Vintage Vibes, Great Service AMBIENCE! Well stocked bar with an amazingly friendly bartender. Veal Piccata, Sriracha Shrimp. Delicious! Visited twice, and both times we were treated incredibly well. We will be going again soon!
