What User doesn't like about Roule Galette:
we picked up some carnegie here. the menu was different from the cbd, but there was only one standard vegan option. the building up their own option allowed nothing else, so we don't have to do with it. the sicilienne was in order, mostly mushroom and cherry tomatoes, but as with the other roule galette I just found the hearty vegan option had not much taste. basil pesto is beautiful, but it's not pop. They offer both galettes savoury crepes made of buckwheat flour) and traditional sweet crepes. Multiple items can be made vegan, however, note that there is a surcharge for the crepes to be made vegan $2). For coffee, they have soy, almond and oat milk available. My favourite is the 'Montreal ' $17.50) with bananas, strawberries and maple syrup. All the staff are lovely and accomodating. Many of them are on exchange from France! They have another located in the CBD.
Ordered the vegan biscoffolie, biscoff spread, raspberry jam, ice cream, pistachios, crepe. Was really good, serving size might be a bit small relative to price, but lots of vegan options both savoury and sweet very authentic, entire place both staff and customers were speaking french and accented english
Love this place! Staff are always so friendly and the food options are great with a separate vegan menu. Have been several times and always enjoy.
Delicious Crepe Suzettes served flambé in the traditional style by French wait staff. Very good barista coffee. Great atmosphere, but not fancy. Comfortable, unpretentious vibe it's all about the food!
We were keen to try this again even though the last time had been disappointing. We were seated quickly but then had to ask to have our order taken as they didnt come back. Foor quality was patchy. Whereas previously the galettes were crisp on the edge, these were stodgy. Crepes were too thick...certainly not cuisine. Service was not customer focussed...rude in fact. Will not repeat the experience!
