The weather was terrible, but once in the restaurant we were seated in a room which only accommodated our group, so we could chat without having to compete with loud conversation nearby. The friendly welcome and service made us forget the outside cold & rain. The food was very nice and I enjoyed my return visit to The Juice Kitchen Café. The first visit was brunch outdoors and again I experienced good food and servic... View all feedback.
What Zlatka Komadinić doesn't like about The Juice Kitchen Cafe:
A lovely setting in the art complex with log fires (although it was still cold in the rooms). The service was excellent- friendly and efficient. The food came but was a bit odd. The eggs benny was a deconstructed affair and didn't appear to have any sauce- not sure what was going on here? The egg and bacon roll was similarly OK but not quite right. The one-pan brekkie looked good and filling, but lacking that somethi... View all feedback.
My friend and I were very impressed during our first visit to this café.
This café is the top spot in a large area. It is beautiful and the staff are incredibly friendly.
I visited this restaurant for the first time today for lunch. My dining companion had been here before and couldn't stop talking about this hidden gem in my old neighborhood.
Felt like we were in the country, but we were 4 minutes from home. Excellent food served by friendly hard-working staff.
Our car club was looking for a place to meet for lunch and I thought I would try this place out. Also known as "The Strathnairn Gallery Cafe".My wife and I had a quick look around at the Art exhibitions as well as the gift shop before finding a corner inside the cafe, which has a few rooms all decorated with art work (paintings and prints), you can also sit outside with various tables under shade cloth or under the large cool verandah. My wife ordered the Basil Chicken and I the Eye Fillet Steak with cherry tomatoes, lettuce and roast vegetables. For dessert, we ordered the twice cooked Orange cake / slice with a pot of English Breakfast tea.The food came out quickly and we both shared a bit of each other's dish and agreed we would have been happy with ordering the other dish too. Our dishes were delicious as was the cake, not overly sweet. In summary, it was a pleasant and relaxed lunch at the Homestead which seems like it was hidden away in the country somewhere whereas it was only 2.6Kms from our house. My only gripe was the short drive off Stockdill Drive on the unsealed road to get to the Art Centre which coated my freshly washed car with a fine layer of dust.
