Guests have enjoyed quality dishes like perfectly cooked lamb and hearty fish and chips, all served in a welcoming atmosphere. However, some patrons have faced challenges, including unexpected kitchen refurbishments and occasional food inconsistencies. The outdoor garden space is a pleasant spot, though cleanliness has raised concerns. With new ownership enhancing the pub's appeal and a varied menu accommodating diverse tastes, it promises a cozy retreat for both food and drink enthusiasts. Overall, this establishment is worth a visit, despite a few bumps.
We absolutely adore The Punch Bowl. Nathan, the owner, is always friendly and welcoming. The food is top-notch and reasonably priced in this spacious, traditional pub. On chilly days, the fireplace is cozy, and on sunny days, the picturesque pub garden offers a lovely view of the lush greenery. We highly recommend The Punch Bowl for anyone seeking a cozy, traditional English pub experience.
We went to Sunday dinner, had not yet planned, but what a delightful tradition English pub is, complete with beams and inglenook kamin. eating was nice and plentiful with a good choice to choose. the service was great and friendly. would we go back, we think we could try the steak night next.
Fantastic eating, great beer, friendly staff in idyllic surroundings.
