Yin Ji Chang Fen (mississauga)

This place is my go-to for rice noodle rolls! You can visit any location from this franchise and expect the same quality and consistency. Came to dine in for a late lunch and it was very quiet which worked in our favour. We ordered two variations of the rice rolls (shrimp and truffle mushroom), congee with some dough fritters and deep fried fish skins. Their rice rolls were silky and the filling was nicely marinated. I enjoyed their less traditional flavours such as the truffle variation as well. This is definitely my kind of comfort food! I was however surprised to see them serving the food on the takeout containers though. I thought they'd have it on their normal plates and bowls. Overall service was quick, and friendly. But an area for improvement could be cleanliness, I found the chairs were a little oily from the previous customers.

Update January 2022 I am back for more food. The consistency is there again. I will upgrade to 5 STARS on my next visit. Update September 2021 It is election day. I already voted at the advance polls last weekend. So weird to be voting inside a shopping mall. But schools are a NO Go Zone because of the pandemic. Anyways, I am back for some more comfort HK Congee and snacks today. Ordering is easy peasy via Go Snappy. You get a text msg confirmation that your order is ready for pickup. Like I said....easy peasy. Pick up is quick and efficient. And the food is still top notch. Although the cilantro was not as good as my first time. Nonetheless, the congee was delish. The sticky rice is home made for sure because I found a regular white mushroom Not a Shitake ...I guess they ran out ...I dunno inside. It still tasted delicious really. It has been a while since I have had this sort of reaction on my first try. Like the old saying goes.... First Impressions are the Lasting Impressions . I must preface by saying that I am not a huge fan of rice rolls. Don 't get me wrong, I don 't hate it. I will eat it for sure. If I am at Dim Sum for example, I might not order it. But if someone happens to order it, then I will eat it without any hesitation. So I was reluctant to try it, and I was really in the mood for congee and a fried fritter. This location has them all along with your classic HK milk tea. Sign me up I said..... Amazing cheung fun (rice noodle rolls), crispy shrimp rolls and dough stick! Everything was hot and fresh! The consistency of the rice noodle was absolute perfection! The Hong Kong style milk tea was delicious! This place did not disappoint! The staff were so sweet and friendly! Definitely coming back!

Great place. Very good congee, rice rolls and friendly service. The rice wrap and dough sticks are good. Soy milk and lemon tea are very nice. Fast service big portions for the price!

Love their sticky rice dish and congee. I tried their fish skin for the first time, it was fantastic! Hong Kong milk tea was sooo good too. I enjoyed the food and atmosphere overall, Also very impressive customer service Will definitely go back!!
