Came here for a get together with my girlfriends and the restaurant was busy! when we arrived we got a table in 5mins thankfully. The restaurant is somewhat small with not much seating, but definitely worth the wait if your not starving. We order probably 6 to 7 dishes and shared everything. The staff here are a mix of friendly staff and not so friendly staff. I'm not sure if it was because they were overwhelmed due... View all feedback.

Tried again since the first time was just average but a friend wanted to go. Food is just okay but the service is lacking....how about a smile when you serve people. View all feedback.
Somebody was raving about this place and I got to finally try it this time. We shared Rainbow Roll, Dynamite Roll and Spicy Salmon Roll. Spicy Salmon Roll was quite different from other sushi restaurants, because this place put chunks of salmon sashimi instead of the typical bits of salmon and tempura mixture. The rolls were generally bigger than other sushi restaurants. They did not come with a bowl of miso soup or salad. I really enjoyed my Rainbow Roll, which had pieces of salmon, red tuna, white fish, cooked eel and avocado on top. Both sashimi and sushi here were very fresh, soft and tasty. I'd recommend their rolls. The service was pretty attentive for a Korean-run restaurant. Waitresses kept providing us with more tea and water, and asked us if we needed anything. They gave us a complimentary hot cinnamon tea at the end of our meal. There was plenty of parking spaces available in the plaza. This place was very busy so make a reservation!
This was a small restaurant with a big quality not only in the food but in the service. I highly recommend this if you're in the Mississauga area.
What a disappointment! I've been doing mostly take-outs from Hinote for ~6 years, as I live only a few minutes away. But the quality of their sashimi/sushi has been noticeably declining. I ordered all salmon sashimi appetizer tonight, but when I saw the salmon pieces at home I could tell that two different batches were used to put together 12-piece set. One side did not taste fresh at all; it actually tasted foul! I could not eat it, so actually tooK it back. But what really pissed me off was the unapologetic attitude of the chef/owner who actually admitted to giving me a bad batch and said that he can not give me all "good" pieces! WTF! I don't mean to brag but I have had my share of excellent sashimi (i.e., Tsukiji-market, Kaji sushi) and mediocre (ie., 168 sushi & all-you-eat types) ones, but tasting these sashimi made me worry about getting sick as soon as I tasted them. Not acceptable. Never going back to this place again. SAD!
My family comes here all the time for sushi. They have great lunch specials and the food always taste fresh. The miso black cod is delicious, melts in your mouth and paired with fresh bok Choy. Though, be warned, the portion is not large.
With Christmas being just a few days away, Hinote was crammed to the gills with patrons. Although my friend had earlier booked a booth, they had rather frustratingly overlooked that, so we had to sit at the sushi chefs' banquet table. Although we were side-by-side rather than face-to-face, we were at least enthralled with watching the chefs prepare their wonderful creations, many presented on large wooden boats. All meals are served with a type of green tea that is, in my humble opinion, rather insipid, but at least it was hot. The restaurant is licensed to serve alcohol, but we declined due to work and driving obligations. We ordered three dishes to share, a grilled white tuna (marlin) with teriyaki sauce, a sashimi combo of salmon, maguro tuna and hamachi with California rolls and a dish new to us, a complex roll of raw and lightly grilled salmon with avocado and seaweed, covered with thin slices of jalapeño and a dash of mayonnaise (beautiful to look at and very tasty, but impossible to keep together if biting only half). Despite the busy and noisy atmosphere (it's a small venue in a strip mall, but there is lots of parking), service was quite prompt and friendly, especially upon leaving, as they wished us a Merry Christmas. By the way, each diner is given a cup of warm cinnamon tea to aid digestion, a lovely touch. All in all, as I have eaten in some other exquisitely fancy (and very expensive) sushi restaurants elsewhere, this place is quite a good value, and I recommend it.
