The service here is outstanding. The chef who prepared our meals always has a great sense of humor. The food was delicious, and you definitely get what you pay for in terms of the overall experience. However, the decor could use some improvement, although they did have a nice Kojenteich feature, which was a pleasant touch. View all feedback.
What Chelsea Poscharsky doesn't like about Hana Yori Of Japan:
Food and chefs are great, reception staff would rather eat at the front desk than seat people! Bar is closed so you have to stand around in their tiny waiting room until the entire party is here before you can get a drink. They seem to have to turn everyone away due to lack of staff, going to try soho down the road Atleast they are friendly and can let you have drinks while you wait! An amazing place to celebrate a birthday. A+ chefs, affordable hibachi, fresh ingredients cooked to order. Don?t sleep on the egg yolk sauce. Delicious! Will go again! Call ahead for reservations and to verify bar/sushi availability.
One of the best places to eat in the area. Pricey but well so well worth it. Staff were on the spot with drinks and the food is outstanding. One of those places you have to hit at least four times a year if not more.
I've been visiting this restaurant for over 20 years, and I still love it. The chefs and the service are still excellent. The only bottom is now the shirt hours of operation. They do not offer lunch and are open in the evening only for four hours.

Where to begin? My family and I had reservations for 7 and 7:30. We all arrived together a family expecting to be seated together as a family. 10-15 minutes of going back and forth about the seating arrangements it was evident the host was not going to allow us to sit as a family. We wanted the usual friendly experience for the 7 out of town family members who have never shared in the experience before as opposed to the racially profiled experience we faced openly. Because of the unwillingness to seat us together and the observable fact of her rude and vial behavior, we chose to leave. The humiliation was unbearable. The racial dissension was heart breaking. Upon leaving, Jesse O (waiting to be seated) introduced himself to my Sister and asked if he could treat us to dinner at a local eatery in Granger? He said even if we declined the offer that evening he would treat us at our leisure. Full of tears , frustration and humiliation we decided to look at the humanity of someone whom we have never met and be grateful for the opportunity to meet such a beautiful soul. As for Hana Yori, the host and staff....this faithful customer for years and family will never return to this establishment again!
