The Red Sea Ethiopian - Minneapolis

Great little restaurant in Minneapolis serving tasty Ethiopian food that is not over seasoned or too salty. Location wise not the best as there is limited street parking around the corner from where the restaurant is located. Prices very reasonable with good portions. Staff friendly and attentive. For carnivores who aren’t as familiar with Ethiopian cuisine, try the meat combo which comes with 3 types of meat and 2 veggie sides. For the veggie sides, I ordered the split peas and split lentils, both very tasty and good complements to the meat dishes.

Delicious veggie plate! I’m not 100% sure it it was all vegan, but I don’t believe there was any dairy or eggs in the dish. The mild dishes are truly mild. ?The inside is a bit rundown, but there is a small sidewalk patio which is nicely decorated and separated from foot traffic by large potted plants.Service is excellent!

We are Ethiopian food novices but our server TiTi was so helpful and kind in suggesting her favourite dishes. She was also very attentive to our needs, we appreciated her so much! We ended up getting the meat combo which came with a heaping side of injera. It was not only excellent value for money, but everything was soooooo delicious. I thought there was no way me and my dining partner could finish it all but it was so good we hardly left anything to waste! Will definitely come back and try other dishes ? thank you TiTi!
