Menu

The menu of Casa De Tamales from Milwaukie contains about 119 different courses and drinks. On average you pay about $17.2 for a dish / drink.

This restaurant offers a polarizing experience, as diners share wildly differing opinions. While some rave about the authentic flavors, impressive tamales, and friendly interactions with the owner, others are disheartened by poor service, rude responses, and unsatisfactory food quality. Complaints about long wait times, dirty premises, and inflated prices, particularly for simple items like chips and salsa, paint a troubling picture. Yet, loyal patrons appreciate the vibrant atmosphere, homemade dishes, and strong margaritas. As this establishment navigates its identity, guests are left wondering if the charm it holds can outshine the glaring service issues reported by many.

Was Christop Skiles at Casa De Tamales a mag?
A few weeks ago, I brought my mom and my friend to Casa De Tamales. The place is small but lively! One of the owners was there, and since it wasn’t too busy, she took the time to chat with us – so lovely! We ate a lot, enjoyed some fantastic margaritas, and took home a bunch of frozen tamales. I'm really glad we made the trip inland! View all feedback.

What Evan dislikes about Casa De Tamales:
Don't bother with this place. Food is overpriced and not good. Was expecting the tamales to be fresh/good, considering it's in the name, but was extremely disappointed. Much better Mexican food just up the road on Main... View all feedback.

Wow, what a terrible experience. The owner is very rude and seemed to be racist. I called and asked how much were the Nakatamale and the owner said if you're asking the price it 's because you can't afford it? who in their right mind (especially the owner) says that!! I asked because my neighbors wanted to know. But after this answer I will never go back! And I will make sure that my employees know about the garbage owner they were so disappointed after they heard how rude he was. This place has just lost so many of my employees who walk during their lunchtime. And $22,95 for a nacatal? Are you crazy? They don't even taste like the real thing. All your fools are frozen and fake. STAAT AND SAVE ICH MONEY Go to a REAL Mexican restaurant.

At Milwaukie Farmer 's Market location. My omelet was exceptional, loaded with fresh veggies, and worth the wait. His pork tacos were pretty ok .

This hidden gem is the perfect spot if you’re not in a rush and are looking for an authentic dining experience. The tamales are amazing, the limeade is refreshing, and the horchata is out of this world—its flavors will transport you to a tropical paradise. The asparagus is the greenest you’ve ever seen, offering a delightful crunch and bursting with flavor. The homemade salsa is fresh and flavorful, while the rice and beans are exquisite. Overall, the food exceeds expectations—it's authentic and incredibly delicious. Don’t let the prices deter you; prepare your taste buds for an exciting culinary adventure. I’ve seen some negative reviews, but I believe everyone has their own perspective. Don’t let those discourage you; this restaurant is far from chains like Olive Garden and represents a true, traditional family business proud of what they offer.

This hidden treasure is a place you don’t need to go to if you’re in a hurry, or want your traditional sit down restaurant. AMAZING TAMALES AMAZING LIMEADE, and their Horchata is out of this world with flavor that will take you to atropical paradise. Asparagus that’s greener than any you’ve seen before with a slight crunch when you bite down that’sfull of flavor. Their salsa is flavorful, fresh, and homemade. Rice Beans are exquisite The food was above average, itwas authentic, very delicious. Don’t let their prices differ you, as when you get your plate get ready for your taste buds tobe opened up and take you for a wild ride. I have read the negative reviews, and came to the conclusion that everyone isentitled to they’re own opinion. However, don’t let those scare you away as most thing of a restaurant as a Olive Garden andnot a traditional family owned establishment that’s satisfied with their own ways.
