1st and foremost you need a reservation. The building is narrow so it gets loud. Once you get past that I have a soft spot in my heart for any businesses in Milwaukee thats tucked inside a Cream City Brick buildind. I ordered the The food is very good and well worth repeat visits from me.
What Luella Hand doesn't like about Zak's Cafe:
eating was pretty good, but they shocked us at the end of the meal by telling us they wouldn't take credit cards since we had a table of six. this may have been good in the 90s, but this practice is no longer acceptable. next time will take a little more. View all feedback.
Zak’s is a pleasant surprise in the growing 2nd street market area. very reliable, good service, with great fresh menu. Sometimes it seems as if the personal does not fit, and if it is busy, they move in the rule in their own tempo and let the patrons decide whether to wait or not. to have a good idea for the owner, but communication is always nice. great breakfast, great interieur, no special personality, but recommended.

Here to the breakfast in front of harley museum. best ever!
Me. everything was in order. I wouldn't drive the 30 minutes to go back.
Gone downhill. Have eaten at this restaurant a lot of times. Sadly it has gone down hill. I now would recommend against it. I ate there Sat eve 4/26/14 with 3 friends. Two of us ordered soup and our soup was cold and we had to send it back. My dinner was also cold and not as described. One of my friends ordered the tuna and it was freezer burned and cold on the inside. I left a message for the owner because I wanted to discuss this with him before writing a poor review but he never called me back. Don't bother
