While the food is good, it falls closer to average with some dishes being hit or miss. The seafood pancake is highly recommended, but other dishes like the bibimbap and kimchi stew received mixed reviews. Despite some inconsistencies, the restaurant received praise for its pear sauce steak and spicy dishes. The service was noted to be excellent, although there were occasional delays due to being short-staffed. Overall, Stone Bowl offers a relaxed dining experience with a good selection of Korean dishes worth trying.
Great food and service. that is one of my fav. restaurants in milwuakee. the staff is always friendly and eating is great.
Valentine Day Dinner. We arrived early (5:30) but without a reservation. Our waitress found us a table immediately (the hostess was busy) and welcomed us withOUT doing that obnoxious, Hi, my name is _______ and I'll be.. The menu was very clear and concise which was appreciated as we were unfamiliar with Korean fare. We were soon brought two small servings of a seaweed soup and our order taken. Then three small sides were brought while we waited for our bibimbap--a veggie and a beef Our bibimbap was served in a wonderfully hot, stone bowl which sizzled the rice and warmed the rest of the dish. It was fine Our waitress made the meal. She was pleasant and patient...read more
Excellent food, really nice staff. Go get yourself some Korean food!
Delicious! Food comes hot and quickly! We enjoyed our bibimbap and spicy pork soup! I LOVE Korean food and finally I don't have to drive all the way to HMart/Assi if I have a craving. The staff was welcoming and attentive. Banchan and soup also refilled! I loved the Kpop music too! I'll be there again soon and and with more friends!
Big bibimbop! for the first time in stone bowl, so I tried the bibimbop (with bark). Delicious, with a side of the Korean hot sauce to bring it to its desired spice level, and embroidered with a fried egg. great texture, from fried rice soft, to really crispy and tasty besides the shaky hot stone dish in which it is cooked. in any case worth a return trip. also had a ginger limonade drink, which was really delicious, with a light sweet the heat of the ingwers and the tartness of the lemon very nice.
