if they like to have tee this is the place to go the tee is brought in a box with 8 different tees and they can open and smell the different tees that are available. if they don't like the tee they chose, they just ask them to never change him a problem. the food is fresh and very good and the scorpses come last and are fresh and hot. were at 4 different places for afternoon tea and this is the best View all feedback.
I decided to book a afternoon cream tee in this hotel, with my friend as a birthday contract. I really wish I had not chosen this hotel. at the arrival there was confusion about my booking, my name, and if I had a good or not....I had no idea what she was referring to, but then felt disappointed that maybe a special offer I missed. the sandwiches were all rocky and the cakes were rock hard, it was definitiw not freshly prepared. the scones arrived later and the teepot were both nice. we did not get serviettes / serviettes and had to use the table cloth to wipe our hands until we could find someone who asks for some. they seemed very short staff. we have asked for a glass of cold water, but in the teekanne hot water were given, it took half an hour to finally get the cold water. we were to pay, but there were no employees to ask well 15 minutes. certainly not the high quality that I would expect from a noble place as this. such a shame that it was so disappointing and my special day was ruined! I am sure there are plenty more beautiful quality restaurants available!
Have been very good here for the afternoon tee several times, so we went to christmas what a mistake. we were served with a bad display of sandwiches and scones without cake. the way they served the afternoon tea had changed since. the new chef had started well there, he had destroyed the previously great afternoon tea, they got sandwiches and skorn to put up the cake later. so there was no longer the pretty looking tablet they used to make. the worst part was that we were asked for decaffeinated coffee and were brought ordinary coffee, but did not find out this until we say for another pot of decaffeinated coffee only, they have no decaffeinated coffee with drunken one pot of normal coffee, the bad news for my woman with problems caused by caffeine, so is always in demand. we called the hotel to complain, and they said they would come back, but despite a second call they never returned us with a statement why we get normal coffee.
We were on a table in the winter garden away .. private nice touch .. but then they wanted to show people around and discuss possibilities as future high time when we eat! service was terrible badly started. because there was no choice of the tees given as we were a big party of 11 not a small teekanne when we were a big party and he didn't want to offer us various tees in pots that we had with tetleys. end of the .. duly delivered a large conference type tea/coffee that was ceremonially dumped on table (one was refilled only at a time and only once was emptied thinking we had 2 or 3 of them between us all and so tasted the tea as the coffee before held in pot before the day before. the eating was less than ground we had mixed sandwichs so it started well date walnut cake, lemon drop cake, chocolate on the top of the biscuit base (not sure what that was macaroon and a burnt choc chip cookie (not soothing imagination or appetit at all) scone with cream and jam. no other drinks. afternoon tee .. service was so slow we ended there for 4 hours last hour waiting for bill arrive! management must really have their game on service, training their employees, food presentation. I would certainly not recommend them for afternoon, let alone a girl high-time day.

My husband and I went for an afternoon tea this afternoon as purchased on living social and were more than impressed. We arrived and were seated on a well set tea table and given a choice of teas to chose from. Our teas arrived along...with our afternoon tea stand, filled up with goodies. We had a selection of six finger sandwiches each on the bottom, six cakes to share on the middle tier and a macaroon and biscuit each on the top tier. All of the items were delicious and enjoyable. The waiter then came over to clear our plates and asked if we were ready for our scones! They were bought over to us and were huge and nicely warm and served with a huge bowl of clotted cream and jam. Really enjoyable experience in a lovely location you wouldn't realise was only a mile or so from central MK.
