Osmow's Grill - Milton

Quick service, great fresh food chicken on the rocks .... well .... rocks great value as well For your money

Today I had a craving for Chicken Shawarma. I stopped in at Osmow's on Main in Milton. The portion of salad, chicken and French fries was absolutely huge. Two people could probably share it. The food was terrible. Chicken was dry and crumbly, with little flavouring. I had asked for the garlic sauce on the side... perhaps people don't realize how bad the chicken is as they normally DRENCH it in garlic sauce. The greek salad was predominantly shredded lettuce. The fries were good, but they had been covered by the shawarma, so they had the greasiness of the chicken on them. I ate less than a quarter of the plate and was too put off by the chicken to continue. The plate was over $15 dollars without a drink.

The food is great and healthy too.. But they should have whole wheat pitas for the sandwiches. Meditteranean cusine is supposed to be a healthy cuisine so how can they not have whole wheat pitas. At least they should have that option if not completely whole wheat. Health freak people can't have that white flour pita, its not at all good for health. How can they not consider this thing. I have requested for this prior also but there is no change till yet.

Osmow 's reviews will be mixed because it isn 't strict traditional middle eastern food, it isn 't gourmet, and because people probably go to Osmow 's expecting one or both. This location is one of the few late night options aside from greasy fast food. Osmow 's is an example of why I don 't think fast food restaurants should be lumped in with non-fast food as QSRs (quick service restaurants). Ordering at any Osmow 's is usually very Soup Nazi -like but I 've found every location is fast and accurate. It 's a bit of a turn of on your first visit, but the franchise locations are always busy for a reason. I like Chicken on the Rocks (chicken and rice with garlic sauce). It usually comes out way faster than a wrap and the value is there for the quality and portion size. Just be sure to know what you want by the time you get to the front of the queue.

As a middle eastern, I have come to realize that Osmows is by far my favourite place. Good service & good food. Come here often and never regret a visit.
