The Cove And Grill - Milford

Great location and good food. Unfortunately, the service is mediocre. We dined in for a family of 6 and waited 2 hours just to get our food. The restaurant was by no means what I would consider to be busy or understaffed. There was definitely a lack of urgency in the kitchen and wait staff. We had to ask for silverware. Our waiter was completely unaware of the specials that were on the sign by the front door. Instead of letting us know they were out of a drink at the bar, they would just not give it to you. Our appetizers came out cold that we could hold the queso upside down. Again, the restaurant was by no means busy or understaffed. It was an unfortunate experience and I hope the owner of the restaurant can get it together before Robert Irvine or Gordon Ramsay have to show up.

Food is good. That’s it though, service is terrible. We’ve called ahead several times just to get an idea of the wait. They always say no wait, or 10 mins max. Then we drive across the lake and it’s always an hour or more. I don’t ever leave reviews but really felt I should this time.

This is a great hang out that also has a good menu and bar area. Most indoor tables have water views, and many times one can get outdoor seating (it wasn't available on this visit, however). Our server was one of only 3 on a fairly busy Sunday afternoon, yet our service was still good and our entrees were delicious. I can highly recommend the brisket grilled cheese.

The food was really much better than I expected. I ordered take out and the service was really good and fast.
