La Trainera - Miguel Hidalgo

The experience was amazing. The restaurant makes you feel like been at the beach. The food is fresh and delicious but leave space because the deserts are the best. Try the keylime pay and the “Paleta de Coco”.

Unbelievable seafood restaurant in Mexico City! Enjoyed multiple appetizers and fabulous wine! The service was top notch! It was so good we went back twice during the visit!

Overall the service was poor to bad, from reception to waiters. Slow in attending to us, little patience (or knowledge) in describing the dish. Fish was dry and definitely old (maybe frozen my tuna was served almost straight from the freezer, barely melted. YOU SHOULD...STATE UPFRONT IF FISH IS FROZEN. Never thought to check before ordering. We were not served correctly, time wasted trying to attract attention of waiters too busy gossiping. Worst, none of the staff could care less if we enjoyed the meal or not, they never asked. When I did complain at the end, no interest or disculpa. Worst meal in Mexico, in fact anywhere in a long time. I would avoid La Trainera.

This place is amazing! A must if you are around Polanco. Food is A + They served us a shrimp soup and nacho chips as an entrance (no extra charge). I ordered a ceviche Yucateco without snails and it was incredible. The recipe tastes a...lot like a Peruvian ceviche. My good friend ordered an actual Peruvian ceviche. Which was great! If you like spicy, this is for you. And we drank a macerated cocktail made with mezcal, cucumber sparkling water and tajin on the rim. The place is beautiful, there is a concept behind decoration, uniforms and service is excellent. If they can make your visit better they will do it, I even ask for an outlet to charge my phone and they gave me a portable charger so I can keep my phone near me. I will go back to this place a thousand times. Loved it!

Si lo que buscas es comer pescado donde la prioridad es degustar su sabor y frescura, estás en el lugar correcto. La Trainera es de los pocos restaurantes que su menú no incluye grandes salsas que no te permitan diferenciar lo fresco del pescado, al contrario las recetas más sencillas hacen que te deleites co el sabros fresco de sus productos. Esta es mi cuarta visita al lugar y el servicio nunca me ha defraudado y mucho menos los alimentos.
