The pitas were incredibly soft and warm, a... read more Even though we ordered through DoorDash and the restaurant was about 15 minutes away, the food arrived hot and fresh. The pitas were incredibly soft and warm, and the flavors were vibrant and delicious. Even the tomato slices were surprisingly good—quite a rarity these days! The portion sizes were amazing. I shared a $13 plate with my cousin (who, like me, can eat quite a lot), and we still had a third of the meat, fries, and onions left over. It’s an incredible value for the price! For just $1 more, you can add an extra pita, making it a meal that could easily feed three people! The 8oz gyro tzatziki sauce could probably serve three average diners, but my cousin and I enjoy it as if it’s water. I’m sitting here feeling overly satisfied and halfway in a food coma. I can’t wait to visit this place again the next time I’m in the area—I might even have to make another trip while I’m here!

The gyros are fantastic too, with generous portions—one plate could easily feed four people. The fries are perfectly cooked and also not greasy at all.

Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed, especially given the positive reviews I had heard. When I received my food, I realized that the chicken was shaved instead of being full slices of breast meat, and the pieces were tiny, roughly the same size as the diced green pepper and onion. It almost seemed like they weigh the meat before cooking it. The amount of lettuce on the sandwich was overwhelming, and the fries were definitely overcooked. I’m not sure I’ll be coming back. On a positive note, the cashier was friendly and the prices were reasonable, but I suppose you get what you pay for.

It's nearly impossible to eat the whole Gyro plate with fries. If you do you'll regret it because you'll be so stuffed. They should have a contest competition for eating their whole Gyro Plate. They have good chicken cheesesteak sandwiches. Make Hometown your go-to if you are in the area!!!!
