Flo's Clam Shack - Middletown

Flo’s is walking to the beach and it offers amazingly fresh seafood. Find a table and then go to your order. Can't go wrong with something on her menu. I ordered their scalop plates, mussels and shellcakes. It was great!

Amazing seafood with large portion sizes! Best minced meat in Newport. It is right on the beach and is a bit affordable compared to putting restaurants. Lobster role was great. Parking is in the back.

The best roasted mussels of all time! Crispy with NO oil that drips from them (not on the paper container where they are served). Flo’s is 5 minutes from Newport port with a beautiful view of the water. It is not a brain: go to Flo’s and then take a walk along the coast, inhale the healthy air and appreciate the view. The waiting staff is very friendly young students.

That was one of the places in my bucket list. Two years ago I visited here and the queue was huge. At that time I was so hungry and couldn't wait in the line and went somewhere else. But this time the place was not so crowded because of the Covid. The weather was a bit cold, but we're eating out. We had lobster roll, fried calamari roll and fried shrimps. Everything was great. The fries also had an authentic taste. And now I thank you for not being able to take it home. Else, I'd have been disappointed. On a summer day I would definitely recommend this place. I don't know about the winter time. It's best to call them and see them.

Food was great! My husband and I split the platter and some onion rings and it was more than enough food. The clam cakes were great, I wish we had ordered more. Full bar upstairs was nice and can't beat the sunset view!
