We were looking for a typical, basic coffee at this pub but were pleasantly surprised by the excellent, fresh and flavorful coffee we received. The staff was friendly and brought the coffee to our table at a very reasonable price. I have dined here before and would highly recommend checking out the menu for some delicious options. What Jessica Jackson doesn't like about Jacob's Post:
This is as I was informed a chain pub, the food was of takeaway standard, ok but not inspiring.. The service was a little slow but it seemed some staff were short on the day. I cannot say if this was normal as was only...in the area for a short period. View all feedback.
The drinks always taste different here and the one time I ate hear I did regret it. It is possibly the most skanky pub in Burgess Hill with a really really tired interior, dirty toilets and sticky tables and floors. When it rain you cannot...sit at the front window because of the leak in the ceiling which has not been fixed for many years. The drinks are over priced and always seem to taste funny. Just avoid it as any other pub in town is much better than this.
We called in for a coffee expecting a fairly standard bland, pub offering. How wrong we were, the coffee was excellent, fresh with a strong flavour, very pleasant! Staff very friendly, brought coffee to table, and very good price for so good a cup.....I have eaten here in the past and would recommend a perusal of the menu if you are feeling peckish!
We stumbled across this pub on the way to Brighton as we were looking for a pub in order to watch a specific televised football match. In terms of watching sport it was screens showing different games so you could chose which match you...wanted to watch. Whilst there we decided to get some food and ordered a pulled pork burger and a hot mozzarella and mushroom salad, both very delicious at a reasonable price. The two young girls behind the bar were very friendly and accommodating. So, why the average score? The interior of the pub was very, very tired. There were holes in the floor, ceiling and the walls and the place had a certain smell about it. Such a shame as it could be such a lovely place with a bit of TLC.
The pub looks very nice from the outside, however, the interior and clientèle were rather rough. A shame as the pub had a reasonable choice of Ale.
It was lovely to walk into somewhere that serves a breakfast after And what a breakfast, double everything at a very reasonable price. Piping hot and real crusty bread, only down side would be that there is never enough butter but I expect that...if I had asked then they would have supplied another packet. Staff were friendly and efficient. Prices were value for money considering the amount of food on the plate. Will definately be going there again.
