Mojitos Calle 8 - Miami

The place is very nice, and the waitress is very helpful. The food is good but the fried plantains (tostones) tasted like they were using old oil. Not the best.

Absolutely loved coming here with family. There was 11 of us and we came in during happy hour. Absolutely delicious apps and drinks. Drinks definitely had a heavy pour, so we were thrilled. We were outside and there were several that were smoking out there, we are non smokers, so we turned on the fans and it was better. The coconut cream mojito was perfect and the pork appetizer was delicious. Will definitely plan to be back.

A mixed review. Comfortable location, pleasant help, so-food, prices too high for quality. The main problem with Mojitos is that it suffers from a schizophrenic mission personality. Is it a pick-up bar for swinging singles, or is it a sophisticated restaurant for couples? Or maybe a nice place to take the family? Problem is, it tries to be all three, but without success. No one will like to sit with his family just to seduce the ladies in the skirts so short and tight fit on the way to the bar in search. Worse yet, the decent dance moves when the too loud music begins to play. Finally, go somewhere else if you are interested in decent food and decent ambience.

The place looked clean, food was cut, service was terrible and very slow. Our waitress disappeared (even if the restaurant was almost empty) had to stand up several times to ask other employees for salt, lemon, pepper, drinks etc. They do not serve bread and butter, after our disappearing waitress, they stopped the bread during the Covid pandemic. My bill for 4 came to 174.00, they had included 15% tip autmatically, I gave my debit card and when they returned my receipt and my card, they had calculated an additional 8.00 for payment with a debit card. I wanted to talk to the manager and he had an attitude. That wasn't my first visit, but definitely my last one. In any case, do not recommend this place and in any case will not return.
