Visiting Miami and we found this place my chance. The food was overall pretty good. We LOVE Peruvian food. Ordered ceviche with only fish, causa with octopus, and seco beef in a cilantro sauce). Our favorite plate ordered was the seco. It's definitely a place to come back too. View all feedback.
What Ana B doesn't like about El Chalan:
The Potatoes a La Huancaina taste nothing as what it should. Could not eat them... awful flavor. The rice, aside from it being flavorless as well, had the toughest meat (too tough to chew). We had a craving for Chaufa Peruvian Fried Rice (which we normally ah e at Aromas del Peru which is EXCELLENT) but this was nowhere near. Dont dare the stale looking Chocolate Cake. VERY BAD! Nothing short of outstanding. Really enjoyed everything about this restaurant.
We enjoyed our visit, good Peruvian food, generous portions, friendly and efficient service, our first time, but we will certainly return.

Best family style meals. I've honestly tried everything on the menu. Everything is always fresh, and the service is the best. No Peruvian food better then this one near tropical Park. South Beach location is fire too!
They have the best ceviche I have ever had. Also I suggest you try the Chaufa Peruvian Fried Rice and the Quatro Leches desert.
