The food and service at this restaurant were excellent! The decor was lovely and the homemade falafel was wonderful. The portions were very generous and the prices were good. View all feedback.
What Μύρια Κλείτου doesn't like about Lokum Mediterranean Bar and Grill:
I checked her menu on her website before we went to dinner. the menu they gave us was not as they showed on their website. I was disappointed because I wanted to eat the stuffed zucchini that I saw on the menu of their website. they had not much to order for us, so we ordered the garnel bowl and gyros. eating was bad and overpriced. we didn't eat much of our tellers and didn't want to take the left home. We reserved us from the city for silvester in miami beach, which is a great sound! the food was excellent, and the service was simply wonderful. the whole staff has so welcomed our family. we were a group of 15 and the service was perfect everyone enjoyed their meal great eating I had the kofta perfectly cooked! and several had the oktopus and reported it excellent. the hummus and the salate were all fresh and the Turkish coffee and the baklawa authentic. I recommend it very much!
Came to dinner with my parents who are visiting. We are Turkish so we figured we'd try this Turkish restaurant out. We are seated by this Russian girl. She was sweet but you could tell she was overwhelmed as the other girl who was Turkish basically stood around while the other girl took care of us and another 2 tables. We order our drinks and appetizers after about 15 mins of waiting. We asked for extra pita for the appetizers bc it's normal for a Turkish restaurant to provide it. They charge you extra for the pita bread. My water had a fly in in it which it's Florida, it happens but it took 15 mins of looking at it before came to the table to get it. Took her 15 mins to bring a bottled drink I ordered and over 30 mins for our apetizers to come out. We finished our appetizers and the server finally returns to take our dinner order. The server was the only pleasant part about this place. Go to Babylon if you want authentic Turkish food and avoid this place. It was one of the worst experiences I've had in a years.
Before going to dinner, I looked at the restaurant's menu on their website. The menu we received at the restaurant was completely different from what was shown online. I was disappointed because I had been looking forward to trying the stuffed zucchini that was on the website. The selection was limited, so we ended up ordering the shrimp dish and gyros. The food was low quality and not worth the high prices. We barely touched our plates and chose not to take the leftovers home. After paying the bill, we left and have no intention of returning. Additionally, the bathroom was dirty.
The restaurant is conveniently located right around the corner from Regal Theatre in the south. The service was friendly, helpful, and timely. The food was served hot, with generous portion sizes. While the restaurant is not fancy and lacks tablecloths, it is definitely worth a visit to taste the variety of dishes offered.
