The best roasted chicken ever. We moved from Washington. The fried chicken is excellent. But I saw the reviews for Jim's and we thought we were some. This is our favorite place for chicken. Chicken is moist Krispy and delicious. We love it. Not fat. So kudos to Jim's, perfect fried chicken. View all feedback.
Been eating chicken from here since I was a kid, and it's almost a must anytime I'm in or going through Mexia. It's crazy the amount of chicken they can get out of that place when busy, and all without sacrificing quality.
I gave 4 stars because even though the fried chicken, fried okra, and fried catfish dinner were delicious, the fried chicken guizzards needs lots of imporvement. The flavor was good, the outside crispy, but the guizzards needed to be tenderized. They were extremely though.
Always has the best chicken tenders...my friend has been coming here for over 40 years

If you are looking for Crispy roasted chicken that is served quickly, definitely stop when you are in Mexia. The sweet tea is served cold the prices are very customer-friendly. Definitely back to try the fried fish soon!
