What Karen N doesn't like about Kanno:
I'm from out of town so maybe this is why I'm scoring so low. Ginger salad was only spinach leaves and I'm not too for sure if that was really even ginger dressing. We ordered 5 different rolls. Only 1 was enjoyable, so we tried to order the chicken teriyaki dinner only for it to not be teriyaki sauce. it tasted like ketchup on chicken served with a small bowl of white rice. I recently moved to Metairie and have been trying out a few sushi places to see what my new spot should be. Kanno is definitely the winner. Excellent sushi at a very fair price. Hours and parking are a little weird, but definitely worth it. Also, they like you to make a reservation.

Everything is fresh and perfect and the frozen chocolate dessert is simple but amazing!
Fantastic experience. We recently moved to the area and have been starved for quality sushi. Everything was super fresh and prepared with great care and skill. We had the Chef Choice Special. It begins with just 3 dishes, but you can keep ordering up these scrumptious surprises for a full meal. We’ll do that next time.
