Cajun Grill - Metairie

Ignore all negative reviews for this place. There is absolutely nothing negative about the Cajun Grill Bar. My friend and I just drove from Kansas City to NOLA and our hotel is right next door. Hands down amazing friendly staff and some of the best Po-Boys I've ever had. Jambalya also on site. This place is out of the beaten path, but if you stay somewhere near the airport, you must try this place before leaving!

The owner is very friendly and offers many great dishes. My favorite is the Brat-Rind-Pboy. Other top contenders are buffalo shrimp poboy, red beans and rice, and the Jambalaya. If you want a real treat, you get the cheese and gravy frits. I'm a customer for life.

I went to Hurricane Issac for a day. They had no electricity, but I could warm up the gumbo I brought home where I had electricity in my microwave. The elastic band was very good and had a light color. Cajuns from La knowing if Gumbo has a light color, it will be GOOD. Medium to Dark Color is NOT good. Went back in March and the rubberbo was dark and NOT good. Win this place 2 MORE chances in 10 days in March (total 3 times in March 2013). Every time the food was NOT good and I got DIARRHEA. Will NOT return.

I bought 2 hot Bratbeef pb. .like soup, no taste.. I call the lady working there if she can do something she can do..she said the pb is so. She was mean. ...we never came back in a definitive way... This restaurant is bad service. ...

Normally no problem, food delivered early, driver very nice. Went inside to check containers after dropping salad off to my friend. Ordered ribeye plate...everything was there, but the steak. Had to call the store, the lady that answered, who's always seemed rushed by call, sounded inconvenienced, literally said nothing when I explained that my $20+ steak wasn't included (didn't notice the salad until this morning) So I said don't worry about it. She just said she'd send driver back out. I said don't worry about it, again, because i was annoyed by her attitude, she told me the driver should've noticed and she's sending her back. Driver very nice and apologetic. Didn't eat the steak for obvious reasons. Wouldn't have written this but then... I had gotten grilled shrimp salad to drop off to a friend, so... they called me this morning... SHRIMP WERE MISSING! Was it forget the meat night?! Spent $50+ and they give be a salad with no grilled shrimp, gumbo, and rib eye plate missing rib eye. Just wow. Normally, other than the person that answers phone being grumpy, the food had been right good. Lost my appetite for this place.
