The steaks were perfectly cooked as always. I always looked forward to their thin onion strings as an appetizer, however they have changed them to thick cut onion rings. Much preferred the strings. View all feedback.
What Damon Borer doesn't like about Andy's Bistro Llc:
the menu has changed again. our favorite meal...the meal we order 95/100 times...salmon with flower charcoal and grilled Brussels spears, is no longer on the menu. the replacement does not live the predecessor. while the actual piece of fish was cooked exactly correctly, the sauce that they put on it ruined the taste. Menu has changed again. Our favorite meal...the meal we 've order 95/100 times...salmon with cauliflower puree and grilled Brussel sprouts, is no longer on the menu. The replacement doesn 't live up to it 's predecessor. While the actual piece of fish was cooked just right, the sauce they put on it ruined the flavor. Too bad.
Not a place to go for an occasion like New Year’s Eve
We had a 7:30 appointment and was told we would be sat on the lower level at a round table, we had a party of 7 and two senior citizens, one had a broken pelvis recently the other was 92, we had to wait 30 minutes or more, we were told another party stayed 31/2 hours and they could not ask them to rush, instead making us wait, another group came in and got the table we were promised down stairs, so we had to treck upstairs and that’s when things got worse, we only were given 3 glasses of water and not silverware or napkins to accommodate 7 people, we had two square tables put together upstairs and we could not converse well, we ordered and they brought out what I was told was lobster bisque, I saw no lobster it was more like a dark Roux sauce with what was maybe crabmeat. We had one little bit of bread for a party of seven and we were not served until 9 p.m.. we had a spill on the table which we had to clean up ourselves, we asked for more cloth napkins and were given the little white napkins. Our waiter tried very hard, as it was New Year’s Eve, he told us he was having trouble getting bus staff or anything he needed upstairs where we were seated and apologized for the poor service and lack of attention our table got. We were never told ahead that it was a prefix Mew Years Eve menu so the menu sent out with open table had been studied by the 7 and nothing we anticipated ordering was on this over priced pre- fix menu, I was never offered wine nor dessert, the $48 Ribeye was very tough and like a cheap cut of meat. Honestly we all agreed that we would not go back to this restaurant. Had we know about the upstairs situation with 2 seniors and the lack of staff we would have opted for another restaurant but being New Years Eve we felt compelled to stick it out. A very strange attitude and lack of care for the guests were in place, the person calling the shots for seating should not share staffing problems or the fact that people would not get up.
I’m not sure if since it was New Year’s Eve that the kitchen staff wasn’t on their game or what, but I was expecting SO much more from the reviews. First let me start by saying we waited 10 min. before our server came to greet us, and once he did he was so very informal. It was a young guy who I’m not even sure gave us his name, but instead of running through a formal greeting he kinda brushed us off and started talking to our baby.. which would have been cute if we weren’t waiting for so long before being acknowledged. We ordered a bottle of wine and some appetizers, in which baffled us as to the wait time before receiving the wine. The apps were brought out and we were close to half way done before we got the bottle of wine! I will say the smoked salmon and crab meat cocktail were fantastic, and the server guy that brought them out was very personable, making up for the lack in our server. We then ordered the grilled redfish with veggies and the filet with scalloped potatoes. I was less than pleased with the presentation of a $45 filet and the potatoes that were cold but it was edible. The redfish on the other hand, did not look great and the broccoli, cauliflower, carrot medley it came with looked and tasted like the frozen packs. The menu was limited being that it was NYE but wow I would think they would be able to really hone in on each dish to make sure it was great. Not the case. We sat and drank our wine and it was nice to see our server not try to rush us out, however, he barely checked on us three times in the hour and a half we were there. Once we got the credit card receipt to sign the server dropped it off giving us one last bad taste in our mouth by saying half-assedly “have a good night” while walking off. I really wanted to like this place, I was excited to try it, but after last nights experience I’m not sure if I would go back.
