I absolutely love dining at this restaurant. The atmosphere and service are fantastic - it's the perfect place to enjoy Mexican cuisine! The food is always served quickly and hot. My favorite dishes are their sweet corn cake and chimichanga. View all feedback.

Overall I had a very good experience. The online ordering system was helpful though it did stall out for 5 times when I tried to enter payment info. But the pictures and description of the food were accurate, and the choices for each dish were well laid out. And I would say we got just what we ordered. The food was good but not 5 stars. We chose to do takeout due to high levels of covid in the county. And I did include a 20% gratuity in my payment. The young lady who actually got our order was great, but the two guys standing at the podium when we came in who just nodded to the bar when we explained we ordered online didn't impress me. This is the new normal and I am writing this review mainly to say I was impressed with the restaurant and their efforts to make take out work.

Was treated for dinner in highland house and I was very glad that I was! the building is beautiful, has a pleasant little Mexican aesthetic and is very clean and spacious. the service was great, no complaining there. eating was incredibly great and served great portions! I have a plate of some of the BEST wings I had in wisconsin, and a miraculous big ool burrito! No complain, I recommend the highland house and would like to come back sometime! pictures are of the best pictures that I could get from inside and outside the restaurants, menu and eat!
Meet an old friend at Highland House to catch up. The restaurant was busy when we arrived at 7 pm. We decided to sit in the bar area at a high top to enjoy a drink and appetizer. The drinks were good but unfortunately the mozzarella sticks on the combo platter were not done. The breading was still doughy and the cheese was cold. The Southwest roll ups were the only good thing on the combo platter. Will try the restaurant again before writing it off.
This place is so cute and it has great parking and friendly staff. The first place we ate while moving to the area. That being said. I would not recommend eating their “Mexican” food. We will give them another shot but will definitely not go back for what tasted like reheated uncle Ben’s rice and other not tasty Americanized Mexican food. Honestly the menu was large and appealing but the food did not deliver. Taco Bell does a better job if that helps. The drinks were good and the churros were tasty but only offered raspberry sauce. We kinda expected more from the price point. Also this business is really set up to look like an awesome fish dinner kinda joint and being so close to the lake you would expect some fantastic local fresh catch with their island theme. Honestly I thought it was so cute I might apply for a job… until I tasted the food. We will probably go back to try some other items for a second chance but definitely do not recommend eating Mexican there.
