We had coffee and “une tartine” here , every morning that we were in Menton. Une tartine is bread, butter and a preserve, in this case homemade orange marmalade, made with oranges from the proprietor’s garden. The proprietor is very gracious; and speaks good English! She even gave us a jar of her marmalade! View all feedback.
What Daicoops doesn't like about Restaurant Le Tagliatelle:
We waited about 15 minutes before one of the elderly waitresses came to serve us. we had not been given any menus. she asked what we wanted and we asked to see the menu. she then went off and continued to serve others. We waited patiently for a further 10 minutes and then went next door to the Cali and got served immediately. The two elderly women serving were over whelmed by the number of customers, there was clearl... View all feedback.
Went here for a ice coup. After a very long time of waiting they came. Mixed up two coupes in composition, showing the lack of attention by the person or persons making them. Quality was very low, not getting close to what was suggested on the menu card. When asking for the bill, again, long waiting time. Only after getting up and asking again, the bill came. And it was not too busy, so there was no excuse for mixing up the coupes nor for the long time waiting. And again: quality was very low... Not recommended at all, this place!
It’s a fairly pricey for what it is restaurant. Advertise things on chalk boards that they don’t have to nip you for extra cash. Staff are a bit on the off hand side. Please don’t ask for steak. Christ, you don’t have a cooking option so get ready for blood and gristle. Sharp teeth will help and a prayer that you are not eating lassie will help.
Lunch at Menton at a restaurant with a lovely view right on the beach but not good food and the rudest waiter I have ever experienced in my whole life. My friend and I had the dish of the day of paella. It was no proper paella really tasteless and like boiled rice mixed with turmeric and some peas and calamari with a chicken leg and 2 prawns on top. It really was bad. Also the pasta served was cold. So we sent them back. The old waiter serving refused to talk to us and then he cleared the table next to us and put all their dirty dishes on our table while we were still eating and left them there. We ended up putting them all on the ground. Totally disgusting behaviour. He should be sacked. Avoid this restaurant.
The service was slow. We ordered pizza and paella. pizza was good, cheese and with a good crust. but the paella. I don't even know where to start. The rice was insufficiently cooked. it was served with two shells of mussels (one was accompanied by a mussel); a piece of chicken back (?) that seemed to have been simply boiled for a while in a separate pan; and a solitary shrimp, apparently recently defrosted. even dessert didn't save the meal. I'm pretty sure you can find the same view and comparable pizza in many other places.
I went there with some friends, we just loved the place. beautiful decoration, good service and good food. I wish to return
