What User doesn't like about Lou Pastre:
we tried this restaurant, as it seemed cheaper than the others: yes, it is, as the quality is not so good. Environment: 80s with a curious mix of western and old building: not the Italian, but we are in france. pasta with vongole: ok. meat: it seemed the frozen cotoletta bought in the super market. then I took a menu honestly, I can't rate: everything was told to me was completely different on the table. Thank you for this moment of reunion 15 years later. Pierrette always faithful to the post. Local specialties for the taste buds. An exceptional socca. Without hesitation an essential address
Not very busy at midday on this rainy Sunday. The warm welcome from the owner quickly warmed up the atmosphere. She prepared us some well-measured spritzes There were 4 of us who really enjoyed the fresh vongoles with spaghetti. A glass of white St Tropez accompanied them well. For desert, the lemon tart is perfect and hearty. We will definitely come back during our stay.
On the occasion of the nocturnal corso we took the Corsican menu. In general opinion this remains canteen catering. No refinement and non-existent presentation. Rather stick to the sale of specialties at the kiosk on the street to nibble on the culinary specialties. Nevertheless, an old and authentic atmosphere, the same goes for the staff.
The first red flag as you enter this restaurant is the absolute lack of music and abundance of sweaty employees. The entire night you could hear a pin drop from the uncomfortable atmosphere, and the clients not knowing whether or not, they should be able to talk out loud. My wife’s pizza it looked and tasted as if it were a frozen grocery store pizza crust with no crust and pieces like **** I ordered the carbonara and the ham was diced ham like it had been taken out of a grocery store, salad and then at the end we paid $50 for the worst meal in the south of France. It was so bad that we had to drive across the border to Italy to get authentic pizza to cleanse our palettes.
As we walked past we decided to get socca It was nice but nothing too special and quite fatty The staff was lovely though and service was good
