The half lobster FraDiablo was the best I've had in 20 years! A mix of little neck clams, muscles, 1/2 lobster linguini with a spicy sauce, a perfect combination. Reasonably priced. View all feedback.
What Greg doesn't like about Giacomo's Melrose:
First of all the background music was way too loud. Next, we decided to drive an extra distance to try the Fruta di Mari which was priced online as $21, one of the Chef's Specials. The menu priced it at $29. I brought this up to the waitress. She mentioned it to the manager who refused to honor the online price. A bit of a bait and switch. Then, one of us ordered the Shrimp Scampi, another one of the Chef's Specials.... View all feedback.
Excellent food, excellent service. Must try. I have a lot of food allergies, my husband. It makes it difficult for us to eat. As a cook I prepare my own safe food 95% of the time. I dine in places where I can trust to take my allergies seriously. Our server Sheila was great! Friendly, knowledgeable and well maintained. The cook prepared a safe meal for me that was delicious The traditional menu item of my husband was there. He has the Lobster Ravioli and his only complaint is he wished he had ordered a meal to go. It's a must. Loved and will definitely go back.
Many good things to say about this place. At the beginning the part is huge. The taste is unique. Very hard not to fall in love. The price is very reasonable and they have excellent people working there that will give you full attention. The drinks are amazing. Definitely for more.
We usually celebrate our anniversary with dinner in the North End, but made a COVID-safe substitute this year and got Giacomo's take-out. Everything was amazing and still restaurant quality when getting it back home. I'm always a little nervous about take-out seafood because freshness and temperature can always be tough, but this was the best restaurant seafood meal I can remember. The to-go cocktails were also great (could just be poured right from a bag into a shaker).
The best chicken stable I've ever had, and my husband said the same. We love to eat in the olive garden, because of the mood in their restaurants, but from today we do not think we will return there. Giacomos was peaceful, and in a beautiful location, and the food was exceptionally fresh and hot. Only what my husband and I wish is that the bread was served warm : . Other than the whole experience, including the staff, food and menu, were excellent.
Giacomo had a wonderful atmosphere and amazing food. Our server Nick was on the move with the right amount of attention and space. Try the Calamari, it's the best I ever had
