The service was not very good. we ordered and wait for 20 minutes and our drinks did not receive my wife went to ask for them. the waitress began to argue with her that she prepared the escape, but there was a cook in the kitchen and we were the only customers. the food arrived and was good, but our used drink glass and empty bottles were not removed during the meal, so I stacked them on an adjacent table. this has not yet asked the waitress to remove it. my wife paid the bill while I was waiting outside with the young. we had a discount voucher worth $25 (not a percentage of the cost). we were charged $131.40 for the meal. my wife assured me that the waitress...read more

A scoopon for 3 courses plus beside courts and a bottle of wine bought and was rewarded with a magnificent banquet! in the melrose park, which was opened in august 2015, there is another shalimar in blackwood. the it area is very spacious and looks clean and inviting as they come through the door. a bowl with pappadums was placed on the table, as we decided to eat. for entrée we chose the seah kebabs (rolling of cube mint lamb and 3 dipping sauce) and the dipping platter (plain naan bread with 3 dipping sauce). good size served and all very tasty. for the net we chose the butter huhn and goat do pyaza, served with rice, garlic naan brot and chilled...read more

Lovely evening out with friends. Food was great, good prices but the gem is the staff. Customer service and a will to please the diners is outstanding. Well done to all.

I have used this restaurant several times with my family and was quite pleased with their buffet and a la carte menus, with free BYO and a good wine list. However they have now done away with the BYO and now serve no alcoholic drinks at all. They said that "their muslim customers were offended by the consumption of alcoholic drinks". we will not be going back as we are offended by this un-Australian attitude. I wonder what will happen with those customers who have bought scoopon or groupon vouchers that include wine with the meals.

Food was okay and service good. I would prefer more flavor in the curry dishes.. the starters were good.
