Contribute FeedbackOsteria Ilaria in Melbourne offers an exceptional dining experience with a focus on exquisite food and perfectly matched wines. The chef's tasting menu provides a glimpse into the passion and care put into each dish, while the pasta dishes receive high praise for being among the best in Sydney. Despite being less pasta-focused than its sister restaurant Tipo 00, Osteria Ilaria impresses with a balanced menu and well-prepared dishes. From the extensive wine list to the delicious mushroom croquettes and pasta offerings, this restaurant is a must-try in Melbourne. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service is excellent, and the dishes are flavorful and beautifully presented. Overall, Osteria Ilaria is highly recommended for those looking for a memorable dining experience in Melbourne.
On 19 April 2021 we celebrated our 29th Wedding-Anniversay in Osteria Ilaria and the food, service and venue were excellent. The menu is beautiful and very eclectic! There is a very extensive wine list, but not overwhelming. The boss was very committed and even served us at our table. We will definitely be back, this place is really special.
Fantastic food and great service. The Paccheri Pasta dish and Tagliatelle dish with rabbit sausage were amazing!
The pasta here is perfect. Would definitely be back.
Pasta cooks perfectly, one of the best we had in a while. The price is surprisingly decent, compared to many other pasta sites back home in Sydney. Recommended by others.
Truth be told, we couldn’t to get a table at its sister restaurant Tipo 00 next door and was recommended to give Osteria Ilaria a try. After all, its the same chef. Less pasta focused (though we did have the pastas on offer) and more a balanced menu lead us to culinary delights. We were not disappointed from the excellent service, to the extensive wine list, to the menu on offer. Each dish well prepared with its core ingredients and cooked to perfection. Recommend the mushroom croquettes as an amuse bouche, the octopus to get things going and the paccari (tube pasta) with prawns as a main. One to try in Melbourne.
