We had a Lovely Fresh Pizza recently at La Porchetta at Highpoint with a Thin Crust just like they make in Italy. Our Pizza was so enjoyable for that matter our entire short time there was Great. An Italian Family owns the Business and it shows. The Service was Fantastic as was our meal before our Movie. When the VB Stubbie arrived it was icy cold just the way it's served at home.Thank you to all for making our night an... What User doesn't like about La Porchetta:
The service was friendly and quick thus time. Although I asked for balsamic dressing in the salad (otherwise tasteless) they were not generous in the offering. Chips in my opinion would be better if they were not French fries style. Also wouldn't it be nice if they just brought out table water without begging for it. Add pale ale to your list of beers guys ☺ View all feedback.
The food quality is exceptional and the service is great. This restaurant is one of the best chains when it comes to delicious pizza. I highly recommend it, especially if you prefer traditional pasta and pizza without any fancy twists.
Friendly staff and fast service. i always go here when i'm in the mood for italian and every dish here is always so good, however i recently tried the carbonara and ... if you're looking for oil soaked noodles with bacon then that's what you should order. it was absolutely disgusting ... i've never had such bad carbonara in my life. it was SOAKED in oil. it was basically the same thing as swallowing a spoon full of oil each time i ate pasta. however, everything else here is so delicious and the people working are really nice
I think people seem to forget that La Porchetta is not meant to be a fancy joint. I mean, the walls are covered with random junk and the tables have paper instead of a table cloth. And that's fine. Because its not meant to be a fancy joint! The food is the same as anywhere else. The prices mean that a family could eat here for not a lot of money. The reality is, if you're after gourmet, boutique Italian, go to Lygon street. If you want a quick cheap tea, that's no frills, go to La Porchetta
I am a big fan of Minestrone soup here. Looks they have reduced the portion (not sure) but still its amazing. Another fav is cous cous salad. Little expensive but worth
The low 1.9 rating definitely doesn't reflect the quality of their pizzas. I consistently find the pizzas here to be excellent with no issues. The service can be inconsistent at times, but I believe they are usually very busy.
