Great Northern Hotel - Melbourne

Well-priced pub food and many outdoor and indoor seats. we ordered the brie bites that were gooey and tasty, and I had the fish and chips that had an amazing teig and a great beside salad. very enjoyed our meal!

$18 sirloin steak w pfeffersoße, tasty chips and beautiful shiny! what a simple, high-quality dish. unfortunately I asked a medium rare and it came almost blue. the waitress was beautiful around the thema and had the kitchen a different than priority. it came perfectly boiled the waitress came to check me to make sure everything was good. rate customer service especially on a busy warm night in the beer garden! the wine list was small, but delicious. would definitely return to try more in the menu. Go on!

So many places were closed on this public holiday Sunday, but the Northern was open, so I tried my luck. The typical pub fare suited me and the beers were OK. Prices and quality were average, but the staff attitude was good.

We went with a group of work mates for a Xmas lunch. I had not been before so thought: Order a classic, Chicken Parmi, what can go wrong? Compared to other Melbourne pubs I have ordered at, I got a half portion plate for full price. Other colleagues were disappointed by the same dish. A hand size parmi, a few leaves of salad and a small small portion of fries. Good for losing weight but not for when you're hungry. Go elsewhere for better food and value!

Wow whatba disappointment, by reading most of the reviews I thought it cant be too bad. It was awful. Not fresh seafood, think it's frozen. And in a town like this really why??? The salad was a pitiful excuse for anything. I feel like there is definitely not a chef behind the scenes maybe waitress cooking? Maybe I just have high standards, but we eat out alot and all around the country this is by far down the bottom
