While some reviewers noted disappointment with limited menu options, slow service, and inconsistent food quality, others praised the relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious bar food offerings. With an emphasis on Italian cuisine, Fatto Bar and Cantina provides a good spot for a quick drink or meal before a show, but reservations are recommended for dining in the restaurant area. Overall, the restaurant has potential but needs to improve on wait staff training and menu variety to meet customer expectations.
My partner and I came here on a Friday night to take advantage of the pre-theatre set menu, we didn’t have a booking however the hostess Chelsea was more than accommodating. We were able to grab a drink and wait for a table, before we knew it a table was ready. We both enjoyed the sirloin and had a side of broccoli and chips. For dessert we have the tiramisu and gelati masala and chic mint flavours). We both enjoyed our food. Fatto is a great way to enjoy the city atmosphere.
We enjoyed a very relaxing afternoon at Fatto in the bar area. Great selection of drinks and bar food including wood-fired pizza and the best chips I’ve ever tasted! Service is efficient and friendly. Highly recommended!
I have been to Fatto several times and it never disappoints. The restaurant has a bright and modern atmosphere with some traditional Italian elements, and the food and drinks reflect this same great quality. I especially enjoy the small cocktail bar, which is featuring Tanqueray gin this summer. The cocktails are delicious and potent, but the vegetarian options are also a standout reason to dine here.
Located along the stunning Yarra River, this restaurant is a must-visit spot. You can't miss it while taking a stroll by the river. I highly suggest trying the coffee here, as it is hands down the best in the area. However, I would steer clear of the Espresso Martini. I've learned that if it's on tap, it's best to pass on it. The same goes for other places as well.
I love Fatto's position, overlooking the Yarra and the city skyline along Southbank. Set up like a traditional Italian pizzeria, it has a lovely European feel with lots of space indoors, as well as some lovely outdoor areas to soak up the sun. Decorated with Italian paraphernalia and greenery, it's light and airy and has a relaxed feel.<br/ <br/ This is the perfect place to order a wine or two over a delicious pizza, and people watch during the day. At night it's a great place to gather with friends and family for delicious Italian fare served with loads of hospitality. The staff are lovely, chatty and welcoming; and visiting Fatto is like visiting family.
