Excellent FRESH high quality food. Coffee was SO good, I asked and they bring it in from Italy. All sauces and soups are homemade from scratch. Best wild mushroom soup, chicken/Brie/Avocado Sandwich. Also the best fish chips I have had in years! Panko crusted cod loins crusty outside and not greasy at all full of flavour. Really great calamari, lots for your dollar, fresh light batter, crunchy yet tasty with fresh ho... View all feedback.
What Paul G doesn't like about Arts Bistro:
This lounge is located in the Clarion Hotel. Open for lunch and supper only. They have TV screens and a very nice outdoor patio. Modern Decore. The quesadilla was fine but I thought it had too much cheese. I thought you could never have too much cheese! They could have put a little less cheese and more peppers, onions and chicken. But it came with salsa and sour cream. Our server was pleasant. A good place to kill ti... View all feedback.
Went here with a friend for dinner and was absolutely appalled by the service. We ordered steak dinners. Both came out cooked not as we ordered. The mashed potatoes were clearly from a box, and did not even come with gravy (wasn't offered to us either). The broccoli was just the entire head stalk and all sliced in half one for each plate. Broccoli was still hard and dirty. We waited an hour for this food to come and did not have time to wait another hour for them to bring us something else. When we complained about the meal, which the waitress cleared from our table, we were shortly approached by a short man in cargo shorts. He smelled strongly of cigarettes and had yellow, nicotine stained fingers. He identified himself as the CHEF !!! He proceeded to argue with us claiming that the broccoli was not dirty and the potatoes were not from a box. He was very rude and argumentative. I couldn't believe he was really arguing over dirty broccoli nor that i tasted food cooked by those disgusting yellow fingers. Needless to say I wont be returning here if I am ever visiting Medicine Hat again. We were staying at the hotel attached to the restaurant, which got us dirty looks each time we walked to the car, past the chain smoking chef. Horrible experience. Horrible service. Horrible food. Just plain horrible.
The Arts Bistro technically hosted my wedding and everything was amazing! Andrew was amazing to work with throughout the whole wedding planning process, very informative and responsive to my many emails and calls. His staff was friendly and efficient. Our wedding was wonderful thanks to them! And the food, SO GOOD! Plus the view from the Banquet Hall windows just adds that extra special touch to your wedding. My photographer showed me a quick peek and the lighting of our first dance from those windows was just beautiful. No complaints on my end, and would highly recommend! ????
Had an excellent experience at Arts this evening. Andrew the manager really has a hold of his restaurant and does a fabulous job at customer care. We will definitely be back, and look forward to some time spent on their patio this summer ????????????????????
