Zinc Cafe - Medford

More of a restaurant than a caffe. very nice atmosphere and quality and fresh food.

That was my first visit to the Zinc Cafe. I was not prepared for how popular this place is, especially at noon. Go here early to secure a table because they go quickly (this place is quite small 15 tables plus a few outside), or make a reservation. Zinc is known for its gourmet American specialities. I see why this place is popular, the food was very delicious. We started with a Chicken Satay appetizer, which was a real surprise; the peanut sauce has a beautiful spicy component very delicious. My friend enjoyed his Shrimp Burrito and I enjoyed my Pasta Gremelli Chicken. I especially enjoyed the creamy roasted red pepper sauce. We decided to drizzle our lunch with a pumpkin cheesecake with a raspberry sauce. There is only one thing to consider, this place is not cheap. Our little cheesecakes were $11 each!

Last Saturday we caught two takeout sandwiches to get to Kings Road Brewery. We have the turkey sluice with salad and the pig sandwich with frits. Both were delicious! Good quality and fast! Very recommended!

Great little cafe serving a nice selection of dishes. Soups, salads, sandwich, brunch and dinner. The onion soup was both good and the roast beef sandwich. The Chibata bread was soft and ingenious. The peanut sauce with the chicken kewers was great.

Place was super busy for an early Wednesday lunch. Food came fast, hot and delicious. Our waiter, John. was pleasant and efficient. The ingredients were fresh and delicious.
