This place was delicious! After failed attempts of getting some decent food in Colombia we came across this place and I was highly impressed. It seemed more on the fancy side, but well worth it. The ceviche was great, definitely recommend the spicy ceviche. I think anything you order here will be worth the month View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Puerto Inka:
We ate here and were horrified at how dirty it was. The following morning we were walking in the neighborhood and as we passed the restaurant we noticed plates with food on them left on the table from the night before. The wait staff had not even cleared tables before going home. I'm afraid to think what the kitchen is like. View all feedback.
Our party of five each enjoyed different very well prepared dishes which were most taste and prepared to requested taste! The restaurant was warm, comfortable with friendly service.
The fish is tilapia which I stay away from, so I had the salmon. Dry, way overcooked. Decent wine though. One entree, glasses of wine,
Me and my partner came here for lunch. The service was great however the food was drenched in sauce and I mean every dish we got. The tartare was nice but the sauce made it sickly after a few bites. The sesame tuna was nice...but drenched in teriyaki sauce. The ceviche was drenched in onions. The spaghetti pasta was drenched in pesto. The only thing that was not drenched in sauce was the salmon chicharron which was tasty. It was almost like the food wasn’t fresh so they try to disguise it with sauce. It was an expensive meal for what it was, the bill was And they charged us for a dish we didn’t have so when I pulled them up on it they removed it. Safe to say we Won’t be going back!
read moreI enjoy Peruvian food from my years of traveling to Peru for my job. My brother-in-law and I were free so I reviewed Trip Advisor then selected Puerto Inka for some cerviche and causa. The owner is from Lima and for a year...old restaurant it has a new look. We ordered the Piqueo Puerto Inka which consists of fried talapia, fried langostino, one cerviche with shrimp and one cerviche with fish. All was good but something was not quite the same taste as Lima on the cerviche. Maybe a different type of lime in Colombia? We also ordered the Timbal which was three causas, one topped with shrimp, one topped with octopus black olives and one with crab. I especially enjoyed the crab causa as it had a nice spicy taste. The causa itself is where they miss the mark as it was too basic. It was not like a stuffed layered potato salad which is the way causa is in Peru. Other than that the food was very good. The service was also a four rating as the waiter failed to check back with us. We had to flag him down. Also, when the two large plates of food were placed on the table no explanation on what each of the seven dishes were. A big positive was the food presentation,.....almost like Japan as very pretty. Thumbs up for having wines, even though low end, mostly from Argentina and Chile with two from Spain. Unfortunately, it was election day so no wine for us. One surprise I noticed was they offered three tequilas, two good ones (anejo reposado) and one not so good w/o agave. The only one available for a shot was the not so good tequila. The two good ones were only available by the bottle. I would not care to spend pesos for one or two shots of tequila. I suggest changing that policy and leave the not so good tequila for margaritas. I will return more times as I want to try the lomo saltado, the Peru Chaufa and the atun sellado.
read moreI been to all the Peruvian Restaurants in medellin. I own pobladorentals.com apartment rental company. So I'm in town all the time. Looking for places to take clients. Well I tried this place in the second circle in laureles. I was blown away. The place is fantastic. Packed at lunch and dinner. Even during the week it's busy. When other places aren't. Favorite here are the 5 flavor fish and beef. We usually start with ceviche. A drink or two and all the waiters are nice here. I highly highly recommend.
