What User doesn't like about Palazzetto:
I've been to this restaurant a few times, but my recent visit was the worst. I ordered a menu item that said it was pasta with shrimp in a garlic and olive oil sauce with fresh tomatoes. I asked for Spinat fetters how that was an option. What arrived was shrimp in a generic red sauce with regular pasta. The sauce was like something from a can like Prego or Ragu. I couldn't finish it. I ordered a glass of red wine and... View all feedback.
The other reviews here led to high expectations which were by far not met. I had the canelloni in a red sauce. I had to return the dish because it was so salty I could not eat it. They replaced the dish with the same but with a white alfredo sauce which was not salty, but had an excess of the cheap cheese/sauce that is so common in the food sold at lots of streets stands. I was able to finish half the dish only because I was starving. We had the tiramisu for dessert, it was Ok but did not have a hint of brandy or cognac. The service was very good and the house wine not bad. An italian would leave this restaurant terrified.
Pasta and sauces were really homemade and tasty. We all ordered different dishes and they were all really good. They bring garlic bread for free before having the main dish. It would be nice that they had olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the table. In any case, the farfalle with salmon was superb, highly recommended. Prices are ok. It is located downtown, not hard to find. Although atmosphere is ok, It could be better and so could be the music (which was like supermarket or elevator music. The waitresses were nice and helpful. In a nutshell, we would go back, it is a lot better than many Italian restaurants around the city.
