Church's Chicken - McKinney

Hands down one of the best tasting churches chicken!!! Last time we went, they were a little low on staff, but they did the best they could with the growing amount of customers. The food was hot, nicely seasoned, and we definitely went back for more. Loved the deal boxes they offered. Jalapeno cheese poppers were amazing, jalapenos juicy, Mac and cheese baked with a little crust, chicken mouthwatering and crispy. Certainly curbed a pregnancy appetite. Despite the lack of staff, they were very kind and food was delicious!! Wish they were closer, but the drive was worth it.

Could have been better. Felt uncomfortable about the staff and their lack of attention to the customer in the lobby. Heard the manager yelling at customers in the drive through about what chicken was on what menu item. Then talking #S# about the costume when they were patiently waiting for their food. But maybe I just walked into a tough Saturday. Food was great. I don't recommend dining in, as the place needs a remodeling job.

The place is small and old, but spanky clean. The ladies inside were friendly and efficient, providing great food quickly. The biscuits are amazing, the chicken was very tasty and fresh, the shrimp were perfectly cooked, and those jalapeno cheese bites were really good. My husband had been talking about Church's Chicken for years and hadn't had any since he was a kid, he swears this holds up to his memories. Thanks for a great lunch at a decent price!

The staff was friendly and helpful. Didn't know how to correct what they put in the computer so they just offered to give me a bunch of stuff for free instead. They didn't know difference between the white and dark meat. They gave me large sides instead of small. I paid what was asked and the food is good. The store is pretty dirty. Someone needs to get a new manager for this place and some training of the staff. But they were really nice girls.
