Chris Elbe's Steakhouse - Mayodan

I was really surprised by this place, some of the reviews made me nervous, but we had an attempt. The food was delicious, the children's menu had a good choice (both children like what they got), the salads were really sisable and fresh, steaks were well seasoned and the service was fast and friendly! However, the situation seems to deter people because it is half hidden, but I would definitely recommend this place to give an attempt, it will surprise you, it has me!

This was our first time with Chris Elbies. My husband and I both ordered the main rib, boiled medium. It was perfect! It was butter melt in your mouth tender, even if I was full, I just couldn't stop it. Travis was our bartender and waiter. We could not wish better customer service. He's exceptional. The atmosphere is charming rustic and it was a cool humid evening, so they had the fireplace that added to the charm and a touch of romance. Excellent quality food, service and atmosphere. Chris Elbies could quickly become our favorite place for dinner. We look forward to trying the rest of the menu. If you don't know Chris Elbies, but you have to. We give him 5 1/2 stars. We're going to go back. I guess very often!

We went in after the lunch buffet was technically over, but they still let us use the buffet. We didn't choose the buffet, although it still looked good. My steak was actually perfectly cooked (what is hit for steak eater or miss lol) and the side salad was the legend. No rinky dink bowl of lettuce with two croutons, and a smidge of cheese, no this was the real thing. 45 mice including appetizer with children's plate. Very reasonable and excellent staff. Had no decent waitress in a while, extremely polite never had to ask for a refill or anything. Excellent addition to the area!! Thanks for the hospitality. Owner was also very pleasant. In any case, other items will be checked again in the menu. The chicken channels are handy and tasty!!

We visited the weekend and the food and service were wonderful! We had the “Täterkeile” as an appetizer and pulled pork with fried Okra and Koleslaw and a cheeseburger with fries. Everything had great taste. Nice to see this place open again. We look forward to returning.

The food was amazing the staff was awesome and on point. Didn't wait long and the food couldn't have been better!!! If you haven't already tried this place then you better go try it!!!!
