Heard a lot of good things about this place. It’s hard to find decent Mexican food in Portugal só had high hopes. But it was just ok. Not bad, not great. Quite expensive. Examples: guacamole not seasoned properly, avocados not ripe enough. Tiny bowl of chips with appetizers. Margarita “Guerita” delicious but tiny! For 8 Euros. Is tequila that expensive here? Three tiny pork tacos… Left strangely dissatisfied. Also, f... View all feedback.
É um lugar legal, mas com 2 problemas: a comida mexicana nunca é cara demais e aqui claramente eles não sabem disso

Love Portugal, love Porto, but this Texan expat has missed his dose of great Mexican food in Portugal for almost three years. Then, as chance would have it, I became friends with someone who told me about Sicario--had never heard of it. So the first chance I had to get to the neighborhood a couple of blocks from the beach), I and two friends one from Mexico) went for a Friday night dinner. It was amazing. João, the manager, is unfreakingbelievable. He is literally the lifeblood to start the night. Then the chef takes over. Then João is back to make sure all is well. He's amazing. People in other reviews say the prices are steep. I disagree...except for the drinks. A martini glass was not made for a margarita. Period. So 8.5€ for three sips is insane. But the food erased that one negative comment. We started with chips and sauces, the hottest being Habanero, which was so good I almost drank it. Another was their re-fried bean dip, which was seasoned to perfection and like silk in texture. I wanted shrimp soft-shell tacos to start. They weren't on the menu. I asked if they could make. In minutes out came three delicious tacos with amazingly fresh shrimp. No problem. Perfection. Then the chicken salsa verde enchilada...with more beans. Fresh, clean, absolutely delicious. My friends split an entree as it was enough for two. 19€ divided by two. Mine was 9.5€. The chips and dips were 5€, but so good, I didn't care--ordered twice. No, that's not how it's done in America, but you're not in America, so deal with it. If you think these prices are out of line, you've never tried to eat GOOD Mexican in NYC, Miami or LA. The prices would be triple. When the bill came, if not for drinks, the meal would have been around 20-25€ per person. With drinks, it was 50€ per person. And worth every Euro. Yes...those martini-sized margaritas are THAT good!!! WHY the owners of this restaurant do not have a queue down the street is beyond me. The place should be packed. And, IMO, open early on weekends for happy hour. Big mistake. For those living in the historic district of Porto, as I do, it's only a weekend option for a workin' man like me! But can't wait to go back...a 5* night.
We have been there for dinner, food and drinks were tasty and delicious. The waitress was very kind and helped us to choose our dishes! And they were super dog friendly, which is not that common in Porto… Thank you for the nice Mexican experience :
