Out of the classic tourist area, but in a characteristic Marseille place. Outside there is a children’s playground, but inside the Restaurant is very quite. The service is quick and polite, the meal well done and presented. Fresh fish, the lamb was perfectly cooked. Don’t forget the fig tarte and the creme brûlé. Price reasonable View all feedback.
What Destin Bartoletti doesn't like about Le Resto Provencal:
We went there for dinner we took the special menu for 19,59€ where you can chose between four or five entrees, main dish and dessert. The wine were not too expensive neither. Nothing really special but very good for the price, the nice service, and the location. Di sicuro meglio dei locali con prezzi proibitivi che si affacciano sul porto. View all feedback.
Super resto? house, kitchen, atmosphere, everything upstairs?
Family meals, good food, impeccable service.
Small restaurant with really amazing cuisine. I'll stop eating here. a very nice little card and exquisite dishes. Go and see your eyes closed.
We wanted to enjoy dinner at a nice, typical French restaurant in Marseille during the off season. During covid of course restaurant visits are not as cosy and comfy as they used to be so we were greeted at the door by the host and the first thing we were asked were our covid passes followed by a request to sanitize our hands. Okay, fine so be it... we were then brought to our table of which there were plenty as the restaurant was only about 25% filled. We ordered the menu for €29 I ordered salmon tartare, braised beef and chocolate mousse and my friend ordered baked mussels, bouillabaise and crême brulée. My salmon tartare was good but nothing special lack of garlic, lemon, herbs, etc. with a bit of salad on the side and a slice of raw !? mushroom. But overall no complaints, an okay entrée. Braised beef was good, although the accompanying pasta was a bit bland. I was asked to keep my silverware after the entrée but didn 't want to use the same set so I grabbed an unused set from the neighboring table. I told that to the waiter who replied with a reprimand you mustn 't do this, Sir! bad, bad customer service she should have just brought another set of silverware for a meat main course after a fish entrée but it seemed that she was overtaxed even with a 3/4 empty restaurant. The mousse au chocolat was good but too firm I prefer a fluffy mousse au chocolat . My friend liked his food but was also a bit puzzled by the lack of customer service. After we were finished and ready to pay, we were ignored several times and then finally given our bill after the 2nd reminder. Bottomline: there are better restaurants in Marseille, the food is good and you definitely get a good price cost ratio but the service is just terrible. With a friendlier service and a cook who adds a few twists and finesse here and there it could be a winner 2.5/5
The set menu was delicious, I’d highly recommend the bouillabaisse. The lady who owns this restaurant is so lovely, she was so busy but always had time to stop and talk to everyone. She’s owned the restaurant for 24 years! I’d recommend to anyone visiting Marseille.
