The formule i.e. fixed menu at euros for two courses or euros for three courses is very well priced. The food is cooked to order, and very well cooked...too, simple tasty dishes, graciously served in a comfortable and quiet atmosphere. This is a place for locals in the know, as the older woman at the table next to us was quick to share with me. Rue Sainte is on the south side of the port, running parallel to the waterfront, up the hill a bit. Worth the effort to find this place, though Marseilles is not short of interesting looking small restaurants.

The formal, i.e. fixed menu at 13 Euro for two courses or 17 Euro for three courses is very cheap. The food is cooked to order, and very well cooked...to, simple tasty dishes, friendly served in a comfortable and quiet atmosphere. This is a place for locals in knowledge, as the older woman at the table could quickly share with me next to us. Rue Sainte is located on the south side of the port, parallel to the waterfront, on the hill a bit. It is worth finding this place, but Marseilles is not short of interesting looking small restaurants.
