Mancora restaurant - Marrickville

Every dish we ordered was fantastical! We ordered fish ceviche, mixed seafood, beef croquettes, lamb ribs and these beef bites.

Ah Mancora! What to say about you? The food really was tasty.

"Bring your own" system! sensational! ox heart, eat!!!!!! it's awesome, the servers don't speak very good English, take it easy because they are lovely and the food is impeccable!

We knew the restaurant was a bit overpriced, having checked their website in advance. But, once seated, we found that the menu didn't have anything to do with the one that was published in there. Ony 5 starters and 5 mains written on a sheet of paper. That was all. Dishes are well presented, but a bit too small, and definitely not value for money. No desserts menu, the lady told us that they had two different desserts. Both were pretty bad, and we paid 18 for each!! There are no toilets, just a rundown bathroom in the backyard. This is not what you expect in a restaurant that costs 65 dollars per person (without drinks, it is BYO). Service was ok.

Intimate dining is one thing but two people in an otherwise empty restaurant is just plain weird. The (very expensive) menu had changed a week earlier to a (still expensive) menu containing 70% fewer dishes. Portions were small, given the price, but, because we were the only ones there, the service good. it seemed to me that running a restaurant like this was beyond the capabilities of the manager. Not a place we would go back to.
