What Bruce Erdman doesn't like about Donckers:
I had the worst experience with scrambled eggs at this restaurant. They were overcooked and served lukewarm. The coffee was weak and the portion was minimal. The bacon was incredibly thin and also not hot. To make matters worse, the prices were absurdly high, comparable to upscale establishments. Vegan options include dark chocolate covered fruits and nuts, dark chocolate dipped oreos, and gummy fruit slices. Staff were friendly and helpful. Updated from previous review on 2023-08-13 View all feedback.

read moreA historic spot in Marquette, Donckers offers mixed reviews. Some praise the sweet offerings and friendly staff, while others complain about high prices and slow service. The charming atmosphere and diverse menu options make it a decent pit stop for tourists, but locals are less impressed. The accessibility of the restaurant receives criticism, with limited parking and stairs posing challenges. The consensus is that Donckers is worth a visit for its unique character and sweet treats, but improvements in pricing and service are needed to win over repeat customers.

I don't quite understand what all the excitement is for. The food was expensive and very lacking in flavor.
