Super friendly service and great tapas. Tapas are a fair size so no need to order huge numbers. Very good service and very accommodating. Price is fair although this is not a ' cheap eat'. View all feedback.
What Edwina Hackett doesn't like about Ba Vigo Restaurant:
We were really disappointed with the food, completely overpriced for pittance small portions, which were served luke warm and service was embarrassingly slow, it took too long to even order drinks after we were seated. We decided to go back and give it a second chance, both lunch and dinner were disappointing and we wished we had eaten at Ocean street. View all feedback.
Took the kids for dinner here this evening after strolling past a few times and eyeing off the wonderful specials board during closed hours.
What a beautiful restaurant with an appealing menu and the specials always impress. Small plates are gorgeous sometimes it's hard to share
Spice Bar was booked out and they recommended Boathouse and Ba Vigo.Being a late booking we managed to get a table at Ba Vigo and were not disappointed with our choice. The service was friendly and excellent. It was a cold night and our table was near the doorway but they gave us cosy blankets and eventually closed the door so we were then comfy. We had very nice Spanish wines by the glass. For starters we shared 3 Tapas dishes which were substantial - the anchovy special was very nice. Had the crab and whitebait fritters and meatballs which were delicious as well. For mains I had the Barramundi. We had a lovely dinner here and I highly recommend it.

Good to see something open on a Sunday night in this tourist area even though the kitchen shut at 8pm! It was very busy at lunch when we walked past so we booked but there was no need as it was not very crowded. We love Spanish food so it is nice to have this choice. We did not have tapas beforehand as the waitress suggested that the seafood stew special was a large serving & she was correct. It was delicious if not pricey at $44 but the sauce was thick & tasty & it had enough seafood. We shared a bottle of Spanish wine which was very good but we were informed that it was the last bottle as the wine menu was to be changed next week. We also shared a mixed berry crumble with coconut ice cream which was great. The service was very attentive. We came away very satisfied.
